Traci Thomas Navarro (she/her/hers) – Director
tracit@usc.edu

Hello from The Center for Engineering Diversity. My name is Traci and I am a staff member in CED.  I grew up in Dallas, Texas where I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Advertising at Southern Methodist and continued as an Assistant Director in the Undergraduate Admission office. Three years later, I made the move to Southern California and USC. In my time here, I’ve completed my master’s degree in Leadership from the Sol Price School of Public Policy and worked in Undergraduate Admission and advising before having the privilege of joining CED.

As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to have a work-study position in the Volunteer Office which was housed in the same space as the Women’s Resource Center and the Orientation Office. The supportive mentoring relationships I built with the staff helped me navigate the university which led to meaningful experiences with faculty, staff, and my peers as I developed as a person. CED has allowed me to work with my colleagues to offer the same guidance and support to Viterbi students.

Fun Facts: I enjoy being outdoors especially with my family. I like to bake.  I love the Dallas Cowboys. I recently completed the LA marathon which was my first marathon.

Christina Mireles Martin, Ed.D (she/her/hers) – Assistant Director mirelesc@usc.edu Hello and thank you for visiting our CED page. My name is Christina and I'm a full-time staff member at the Center. I grew up in the Los Angeles area, and completed my bachelor's degree in Latin American History with a minor in Business at the University of San Francisco. After earning my BA, I moved to Seattle, WA where I earned an MA in Student Development Administration, an educational counseling-based program. After several years away from California, I was eager to come home to Los Angeles and have been at USC since 2012. I am currently completing a Doctorate of Education at Rossier School of Education and consider myself so fortunate to have found a home within Viterbi's Center for Engineering Diversity. Fun Facts: I'm a dog-lover and have been a Chihuahua dog mama for a long time. I'm a mom to three great kids and we enjoy trips to the Zoo, camping, outdoor adventures, and the occasional trip to Disneyland.

Miguel Angel Anzelmetti (he/him/his) – Assessment Coordinator
anzelmet@usc.edu

Welcome to CED, my name is Miguel and I’m one of the full-time staff of CED. I grew up in San Diego, CA and went to the University of California, San Diego to receive my bachelors degree in Public Health. My identities as a low-income, first-generation, queer, and Latino college student really impacted my experience during college and joined the field of higher education to make a positive change for students and advocate for educational equity. I received my masters degree at USC in Educational Counseling because I realize students have more than just academic going on and would like to be a support. I would love to get to know you, so feel free to send me an email and we can schedule a time to chat!

Fun Facts: I love to sew and dance. Right now I’m taking free sewing classes at my local community college district so I can make clothes that actually fit. I am also in a salsa dance team and can lead and follow.
