ADVISORY BOARDS

Committed to diversity as a foundation to success

Championing Diversity

The Center for Engineering Diversity (CED) community is enhanced by the support of two groups, our Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) and our Industry Advisory Board (IAB). Both boards are committed to the success of the CED community through their service as board members.

Faculty Advisory Board (FAB)

Initiated by a Viterbi faculty member who is committed to ensuring the field of engineering is diverse in a broad sense that includes race, ethnicity, gender, class, country of origin, physical ability, sexual orientation and cultural background, The FAB was established in 2011. This group of 12 faculty members represents each of Viterbi’s academic departments. They provide guidance and support to CED to make the USC Viterbi School of Engineering a model of excellence and equity in engineering education.

The Industry Advisory Board (IAB)

The Industry Advisory Board (IAB)The CED Industry Advisory Board is comprised of industry representatives who provide direction and technical expertise to CED. The IAB supports CED through the development of support programs, program initiatives, funding, as well as disseminating industry knowledge for the professional development of the students. IAB members are active participants in CED. They serve as guest speakers and mentors to students, and their companies provide summer internships and scholarship support.
