Join us on Wednesday, November 1st for a Dia de los Muertos celebration. Dia de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday that celebrates and honors deceased loved ones. A Dia de los Muertos altar, or “ofrenda,” is a colorful and ornate shrine created to honor deceased loved ones. We will have several craft activities and an altar where you can display photos of your loved ones or something you created during the event.
Please bring a photo or keepsake of a loved to decorate the Altar if you wish.
Please also feel free to post a picture of a loved one(s) on our Virtual Dia de los Muertos Altar.
Craft Activities Include:
Make Your Own Paper Cempasuchil (Marigold)
Write Your Loved One’s Name on a Butterfly Cut-Out
