During the program students will gain exposure to China and Chinese culture with opportunities to learn more about the country, culture and research approaches.
Program Highlights include:
- Welcome Reception & Campus Tour
- On-Campus, Dormitory-Style Accommodations
- 6-7 Weeks over the summer
- $7,000 Stipend for visa, airfare, housing, and living expenses
- 30 Hours per week in research lab
The application and letter of recommendation deadline is December 17, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
The application asks for a faculty letter of recommendation and statements about your research experience.
This program is funded by a generous contribution from Viterbi Alumnus Feng Deng, who understands the importance of collaborative exchanges between two outstanding research institutions. The goal of this program is to provide students who have had very little exposure to China or Chinese culture with opportunities to learn more about the country, culture, and research approaches.
The University is currently reviewing how it will proceed with international programs for summer 2022 given the current situation with COVID-19. This trip is dependent on university guidelines. Viterbi and the university both reserve the right to postpone or cancel this program.
