VIRTUAL COLLEGE PERSONAL STATEMENT BOOT CAMPS
Seeking VOLUNTEER MENTORS to assist high school seniors in writing their college personal statements required by applicants to the University of California and private colleges/universities through the Common App.
There will be two Virtual Boot Camp Sessions / Please sign up for one or both
- WEDNESDAY, October, 28 3 to 5 p.m.
- FRIDAY, November 6 3 to 5 p.m.
Volunteer question and answer period 2:30 – 3, before each Boot Camp session

We are looking for volunteer mentors from the USC current and retired faculty and staff, and the student and alumni community, LAUSD and other accredited teachers with skills in the following areas: Reading for content, and editing grammar and spelling.
The workshop agenda will be as follows:
- 2:30 – 3:00 question and answer session for volunteers
- 3:00 – 3:10 welcome and orientation for students
- 3:10 – 4:50 breakout sessions with mentors and students
- 4:50 – 5:00 group closing session
