USC Undergraduate Writers’ Conference

You are invited to participate in USC’s 18th Annual Undergraduate Writers’ Conference. This year’s Conference will feature keynote speaker Wayétu Moore, author of the novel She Would Be King and memoir, The Dragons, The Giant, The Women. She is the recipient of the 2019 Lannan Literary Fellowship for Fiction.

Join a supportive community of writers to share your work virtually in small discussion groups and be considered for a $1000 prize for 1st and $500 for 2nd in your category. Writers at all levels of experience are welcome, as are writers of all genres and backgrounds.

Submit your essay or creative work by 11:59pm on Sunday, February 21 in one of these categories:

• Analytical Essay
• Researched Essay
• Professional Writing/Moral Reasoning
• Creative Work

PLUS, special prizes from the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State & Global Policy for submissions addressing a real world solution to a serious policy challenge that improves the lives of people and communities in one or more of the following policy areas: Environment & Energy and Political Reform & Voter Access.

Prizes will be announced virtually at the conference on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
