Current Research Opportunity
Our research projects aim to develop novel tools for prediction of autism spectrum disorders using machine learning on neurobiological measures such as EEG and eyetracking. In the current project, we are interested in developing toolboxes for EEG and eyetracking analyses for feature extraction and developing ML models.

Specific Qualifications for Undergraduate Researcher
The Levitt lab at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles is looking for a highly motivated undergraduate student, preferably fluent in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and R, with a strong interest in analytical approaches for neurophysiological data and pursuing a graduate education. A background in math will also be helpful although not necessary.
Independent learning, adherence to deadlines, and creative problem-solving skills are desirable.
As an undergraduate researcher, you would gain training on advanced EEG and eyetracking analyses, interpretation, and experience with infant brain development measures. All work will be done remotely. You can either get computer science class credit, work study or simply volunteer. This position is contingent on passing a technical skills interview.
Desired Qualifications for Undergraduate Researcher
• Junior in Computer Science
• Programming proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB
• A minimum 10-hour commitment per week excluding exam weeks
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Good communication skills
• Some knowledge of research methods
