Campus Safety Alert: Protect Your E-Scooters and Stay Aware

November 26, 2023

There has been a surge in e-scooter thefts on campus. Here are some safety measures to consider:

Secure Your E-Scooter: Always lock your e-scooter and consider attaching a tracking device. Avoid leaving it unattended for extended periods; store it indoors when not in use.

Public Transit Caution: For public transit, especially trains, be aware of your surroundings. It’s advisable to stay off your phones to reduce the risk of theft. Remember, if you feel unsafe, use the call buttons on the platforms to connect with a live operator instantly.

Safety in Numbers: Whenever possible, walk with someone, especially during nighttime hours. Share your location with friends, roommates, or family if you’re alone.
