The Freshman Academy program is hiring Freshman Academy Coaches for Fall 2021!
Freshman Academy is a fall semester class for first-year Viterbi students designed to introduce them to the field of engineering. The class is taught by experienced, enthusiastic professors, in collaboration with upper division engineering student mentors, known as Freshman Academy Coaches. Through activities and contact both in class and outside of class, coaches form mentorship relationships with and build community among Academy students. Coaches also serve as resources for students as they transition to life at USC and in Viterbi, and adjust to new academic expectations and social situations. Coaches are expected to be friendly, responsible, and organized; to act as role models for new Viterbi students; and to be proactive in reaching out to first-year students and addressing the challenges they may face in their transition to college.
The coach position is a paid position requiring approximately 5 hours of work per week during the Fall semester. Learn more and apply now! Applications are due by February 17.
