Registration for the 22nd Undergraduate Symposium for Scholarly and Creative Work is now open.
Sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Symposium provides undergraduates with the opportunity to exhibit their significant research and creativity with the university community. Students present works through poster sessions, art exhibits, and electronic media. All undergraduates are encouraged to participate.
The Symposium exhibition takes place on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from 11 am- 2 pm. The exhibition will be followed by an awards ceremony banquet in the evening with a keynote address from USC Provost, Dr. Charles F. Zukoski.
The ceremony celebrates all student participants and their faculty sponsors and honors the most outstanding projects. A panel of judges will review submissions and award First Prizes of $1000 and Second Prizes of $500 in five academic categories:
• Arts & Architecture
• Humanities
• Life Sciences
• Physical Sciences, Math & Engineering
• Social Sciences
Additional recognition may be given for Interdisciplinary or Digital Media submissions, plus special awards from the USC Schwarzenegger Institute and the American Physiological Society.
If you have been supported this past year by a stipend from the Undergraduate Research Associates Program, the USC Provost’s Fellowship Programs, or the USC Dornsife College SOAR or SURF Programs, we encourage you to share your work with the USC community.
Registration deadline is Sunday, March 22, 2020.
