Joining Viterbi GCSP
The Viterbi Grand Challenges Scholars Program represents and welcomes participation from all USC undergraduates who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program housed within Viterbi. By being a Viterbi undergrad, you are already on your way to engaging with and solving for Grand Challenges. To make your journey official so we can best track and support your efforts to receive Viterbi GCSP Designation when you graduate, follow these simple steps:
- Create a GCSP profile using the GCSP Tracking Tool in your myViterbi account
- Join the EngageSC group
As you go through your time in undergrad, Create a GCSP profile website to begin showcasing your work and experiences. Link it to your profile in the GCSP Tracking tool in myViterbi.
Students are encouraged to get involved with GCSP starting in their first semester at USC to maximize on their time engaging in experiences that will qualify towards GCSP Designation in their senior year.

GCSP Student Organization: Students Innovating for Grand Challenges
As a participant in Viterbi GCSP, you are automatically represented by the GCSP student organization, Students Innovating for Grand Challenges (SIGC).
SIGC helps create community around Grand Challenges by hosting workshops, contests and events related to the Five Mindsets of GCSP and the four themes of Grand Challenges. Much of your participation within SIGC can qualify as relevant experiences to list for your Designation Application
