Women in EngineeringCALLING ALL VITERBI UG WOMEN ENGINEERS – JOIN THE WIE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM TODAY!
We invite you to become a mentor or mentee with the Women in Engineering (WiE) MENTOR Program! Applications for the 2023-2024 academic year will be available soon!
The WiE MENTOR program pairs female undergraduates with more senior female students. The program aims to provide students with a source of support and guidance while helping to build community among all Viterbi women. WIE mentors will inspire students and help increase the retention of women in engineering.
Being a Mentor – Commitments
- Contact mentee(s) at least once a week. This can be an email, telephone call, text, coffee, or dinner
- Attend WiE MENTOR mentor orientation
- Attend WiE MENTOR Reveal and Reception on September 15th
- Attend at least 2 WiE events per semester
- Enthusiasm and willingness to answer questions from first year students about classes, engineering majors, student organizations, research, internships, etc.
Being a Mentee – Benefits

By joining WiE MENTOR you will also join the new Viterbi Link online mentorship platform that will allow you as a mentor or mentee to connect with Viterbi alumni worldwide! Alumni will provide career, academic, and life advice over a few weeks, or engage in 30 minute flash mentoring sessions.
