John Brooks Slaughter Center

"Shaping Engineers with Outstanding Competence and Outstanding Character"

Transition to College | Build a Community | Achieve Excellence | Belong

Welcome!

Welcome to the John Brooks Slaughter Center at USC's Viterbi School of Engineering. Named after the late John Brooks Slaughter, beloved USC Viterbi Professor, and national engineering icon, the center helps advance excellence in engineering by shaping engineers with outstanding technical competence and outstanding character. It is also a space to connect with other students to inspire personal and professional growth. Since its founding in 1975, the recently renamed John Brooks Slaughter Center has also played a vital role in fostering a community that empowers Viterbi students to thrive.
The John Brooks Slaughter Center is located in Ronald Tutor Hall (RTH) 210.  Students can access the peer learning lounge during the RTH building hours of 8:00am-10:00pm.  The collaboration space is equipped with group and individual workstations, computers, and printers.
