Tickets & Guest Seating
The 2017 Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony will be a ticketed event. In order to receive tickets, graduating students were asked to register for the ceremony in early spring 2017. Each graduate was given the opportunity to reserve up to 3 guest tickets.
Guests without tickets are welcome to join us on-campus and view the ceremony from one of our air-conditioned auditoriums in SGM 123, 124 or OHE 122. A live stream of the ceremony will be available online on the day of commencement.
Students and guests should refer to the Viterbi Blog Updates for more information on the ticketing process and commencement information.
On the day of commencement, the University will provide a limited number of wheelchairs available for guests.
At the Main Ceremony and Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony, there is typically a seating section reserved for guests with wheelchairs. Because space is limited, we can only allow one escort per wheelchair user. This area, like all commencement guest seating, is first come, first served. For the Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony, the wheelchair user and escort must each have one of the allocated guest tickets.
For more information, please refer to the University Commencement website.
Photography & DVD
Grad Images will take quality photos of each graduate as s/he comes across the stage at the Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony. GradTrak will email graduates with their proofs and photo purchase options.
Take One Productions will provide the live stream of the ceremony and a DVD of the Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony will be available for purchase.
Viterbi academic departments typically host receptions following the Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony. In many cases, these receptions start before the Undergraduate Ceremony ends because the receptions are for both undergraduate and graduate students.
For details on the Viterbi receptions please refer to the University Commencement website. This information will be updated in spring 2017.
Honor cords are worn by undergraduates who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better by the end of the fall 2016 term. Eligible degree candidates who graduate in fall 2016 or will graduate in spring or summer 2017 will be contacted and can pick up their honor cords in RTH 110 in late April.
Cap & Gown Rental
Graduating students may rent a cap & gown directly through the USC Bookstore. Distribution will take place in late April.
The May 2017 Commencement Program will include the names of graduates with degree dates of Fall 2016, Spring 2017 and Summer 2017. If a student’s expected degree date is Fall 2017, his/her name will appear in the 2018 Commencement Program but he/she can participate in the 2017 Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony.
Graduates with Fall 2016, Spring 2017 and Summer 2017 terms will be notified to view the 2017 Viterbi Commencement Program proof in mid-spring 2017.
Degree candidates and guests can find additional information through Viterbi Blog Updates found at the top of this page.
