Academic Support

Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity

Offers an innovative approach to assisting students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other identified learning differences.

Viterbi Learning Program (VLP)

Support undergraduate students through peer mentoring, tutoring, academic skills workshops, and group study sessions.

Marshall Peer Tutoring Program

Peer tutoring focuses on helping the learner build study skills and confidence in the subject.

Supplemental Instruction (SI)

An academic support program designed to improve the student’s academic success and increase retention. The SI program targets traditionally difficult courses and provides regularly scheduled, peer-led study sessions.

Peer Tutoring Services

The Tutor Request System allows USC undergraduate students to request tutoring support for some of USC’s traditionally challenging coursework. Tutoring is offered for select courses in the following subjects:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • French
  • Mathematics
  • Music Composition
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Spanish

Additional Tutoring

Students seeking additional tutoring for courses not addressed by these resources should email tutoring@usc.edu. While not all requests can be met if a significant number of students are seeking support in the same course an effort can be made to identify additional academic support resources.
