Advice Captain and Peer Mentor Workshop 1
We will be holding the first workshop of the semester next Wednesday 10/27 at 6 pm virtually through zoom. In this workshop, we will introduce the advice captains and peer mentors and our roles, discuss program expectations, and practice your research elevator pitches. Please come prepared to share a brief overview of your project with other students. You can join the meeting through this link:

Viterbi External Fellowship Award Boot Camp Part 1
The Viterbi School of Engineering strongly encourages all undergraduate and graduate students to apply for external fellowships and grants. These fellowships may be offered by government agencies, private foundations, or corporations, and may provide one year or multiple years of fellowship support. During this session, students will hear tips and advice from panelist who are recipients or have knowledge and understanding of various external fellowships, and have time to ask questions to our panelists.

Viterbi External Fellowship Award Boot Camp Part 2
Part 2 of the Viterbi External Fellowship Award Boot Camp will be led by Professor Steve Bucher, Director of the Engineering Writing Program (EWP). Professor Bucher will share tips and best practices in drafting your essays/personal statements, detailing your research plans, identifying faculty to write your reference letters, and other common tips for your applications.
