Ready to build your global competence and network without going abroad?
USC Viterbi’s iPodia program is offering ENGR 345: Principles and Practices of Global Innovation in Fall 2021. This 3-unit class is open to USC undergraduate students from all majors. The course will offer two sections on Thursdays at 8:00 – 10:00 AM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
The course emphasizes the importance of cross-cultural interactions in developing innovative products and business ideas in our rapidly globalizing world. It will be taught by Dr. Stephen Lu, Professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering, Computer Science, and Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at USC.
In the course, you will:
- Learn how to leverage cultural diversity to inspire innovation through borderless peer-learning, team projects, and cross-cultural exercises.
- Attend lectures with classmates around the world.
- Participate in global virtual teams to exchange perspectives and work collaboratively on innovative projects.
- Join a one-week educational trip abroad to one of the partner universities at the end of the semester.
