Volunteers needed for USC Viterbi STEM-EOP events this spring

March 10th – MESA Day

  About 700 middle and high school USC MESA students will converge upon USC to demonstrate their skills and technical prowess. Volunteers are needed to judge middle and high school STEM competitions.  For more information, contact Li Wang (wang271@usc.edu)

March 22nd – Intro to Robo

Viterbi STEM-EOP’s community partner, Living Advantage, is hosting it’s annual Intro to Robo event for at-risk and foster youth. April 4th – STEM Innovators in Training

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers, who are good with kids, to help out at the STEM Innovators-in-Training Experience. Undergraduate and graduate students needed to assist with our great line-up of workshops. Stipends for volunteers are available. April 9th – Robotics Half-day Seminar

Twenty students from Australia’s Geelong Grammar school will be visiting USC Viterbi. Volunteers are needed to help with a lesson on programming Arduino robots and for a student panel on robotics at USC Viterbi (Also, if you have access to a robotics lab and can arrange a tour, please let us know). April 28th – Annual Viterbi Robotics Invitational

Every year, 200 – 300 elementary, middle and high school students compete in the annual Viterbi Robotics Invitational. The competition encourages interactions that leave everyone involved feeling valued with a sense of integrity and teamwork as they seek to use robotics to create solutions to problems facing our world.
