Volunteers Needed for DiscoverE Day: Mentor and Inspire Local High School Students

Celebrate E-Week with SHPE-USC and KIUEL by coming out to volunteer at Discover Engineering Day! We will be inviting 200 high school students to campus to partake in a fun engineering-themed competition and attend college-preparedness workshops. At the end of the day, an industry professional will be speaking to the students about their experience in the field. Come inspire some young minds by signing up to volunteer. Bring your friends and volunteer together!

Whether you can volunteer the whole day or only for an hour, we need your help fulfilling the following roles:

  • Giving students a short tour of campus and providing insight into college life
  • Mentoring students during project competition by asking critical thinking questions and offering insight on how to work as a team, approach a challenge, etc.
  • Escorting students to/from workshops
  • Assisting with keynote surveys

How do I sign up?

Fill out sign-up form: http://bit.ly/DiscoverE2017-Volunteer by Thursday, February 23.
