The Financial Aid Office has opened up the Study Abroad Grant application!
The Study Abroad Grant is open to undergraduate students who are participating in study abroad programs offered at USC for Fall 2018. The purpose of the grant is to assist students with additional expenses associated with overseas studies (e.g. vaccinations, plane tickets, passport fees). We encourage all students who are planning to study abroad in Fall 2018 to apply for the scholarship. You can apply even if you have not yet been admitted to a program. Notifications will go out the first week of April to students chosen to receive the grant.
Recipients of the scholarship must have completed the 2018 – 2019 financial aid application process and be admitted into a USC student abroad program for a full semester or year. The other eligibility requirements are located on the application. Recipients may request to receive funding earlier than the university’s normal disbursement schedule to cover upfront expenses. The grant award amount is $2000 and will be issued as a stipend in June 2018.
We encourage you to apply prior to the deadline on March 23rd. You can find the application on the Scholarship Management Portal, under Study Abroad Grant. You can access the portal by visiting https://financialaid.usc.edu and clicking on ‘Toolbox’ in the right hand corner.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office for any questions regarding this scholarship.
