FIRST Robotics Kickoff – January 6th

By November 30, 2017Volunteering

Since the 2000, USC Viterbi has hosted the annual FIRST Robotics Kickoff Broadcast. This year, over 50 teams have RSVP’d. We are looking for volunteers (especially FIRST Robotics Alumni ) to help out at this season’s kickoff. We will be offering the following workshops:

1) Kit Bot Assembly
2) Arms & Lifts/Robot Design Process
3) Java & Labview Programming
4) Game Analysis & Strategy
5) Systems Engineering /Team Organization/Student Leadership
6)  Business Plan/FIRST Scholarships/ Team Awards

The Broadcast will begin at 7AM, kit distribution at 8AM and workshops at 10AM. If you are interested volunteering, please email Holly Sims (hollysim@usc.edu).

According to FIRST founder Dean Kamen, “You get what you celebrate”. Come help us “celebrate” engineering so that we “get” more engineering students.

    Hi,

One of our mentors will be picking up our kit on Saturday, what do you need for him to pick up the kit, anything in particular? He is already registered on our team’s online portal as a mentor and has completed the consent and release forms online.

    Regards,
    Team 1515 Lead coach/mentor
